It is perhaps one of the reasons that Eric Kripke’s television adaptation is a more holistically satisfying experience than Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s source material. The Boys has always been a show remarkably clear and coherent in its central themes, building strongly and confidently outwards from its central concepts.
